Big Sky, Big Leadership Program
2025 – 2026
Do you care deeply about Broadwater County and want to grow as a community leader? Big Sky, Big Leadership is your invitation to do just that! This locally hosted program offers monthly, hands-on sessions designed to help you explore community issues, develop leadership skills, and connect with fellow changemakers across the county.
Developed by MSU Extension and offered at the county level, Big Sky, Big Leadership is part of a statewide initiative focused on empowering leaders in rural communities. You’ll gain practical tools, broaden your understanding of local dynamics, and deepen your awareness of the issues shaping our region.
Program Details:
📅 Begins Friday, September 12
🗓️ Nine monthly sessions (September–May)
🕘 Held the second Friday of each month, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Rotating locations across Broadwater County: Townsend, Radersburg, Toston, Wheatland, and Silos/Winston
🎓 Tuition: $180 (includes all materials and lunch at each session)
🎯 Scholarships available.
Each session combines leadership skill development with immersive community experiences. Topics include communication, conflict management, personality styles, generational perspectives, and more. You’ll hear from guest speakers, explore key local sectors like agriculture, government, education, and natural resources, and build lasting connections with diverse leaders.
