BCDC Giving Options

When you make a gift to the Broadwater County Development Corporation (BCDC), you are helping support our many worthwhile projects to improve and maintain Broadwater County for future generations. Broadwater County is a great place to live and work. Having funds available is essential to maintaining our unique way of life. Your gifts to BCDC are tax-deductible. All gifts – large or small – are greatly appreciated and help provide planned growth to our residents of Broadwater County.

Ways to Help

Donations are welcome from individuals, families, foundations, businesses and corporations. You can make tax-deductible gifts to BCDC by cash, check or real property.

Tributes

Families and friends often wish to make a gift in memory of special loved ones. We welcome these meaningful gifts and recognition will be received.

Gift of Cash

A gift of cash is the most common and convenient way to donate to BCDC. It is simple to give and helps us provide funding and support for many worthwhile projects. If you itemize your tax deductions, your gift is fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income on both your federal and state tax returns. Any excess may be carried forward for up to five additional years. Consult with your tax advisor for more information.

Gift of Appreciated Property

Appreciated securities such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can be donated to BCDC and help you avoid capital gains taxes. Real property can be donated as well.

Bequests in Wills

Perhaps the most common method of planned giving is a bequest in a will or trust. You may transfer any type of property, cash, stock, real estate, artwork, etc. You may transfer a fixed amount, a fixed percentage, or the residual of your estate after providing for your beneficiaries. Consult with your legal and financial advisors for more information.
