DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Townsend’s August 2024 Slice of Summer family fun event will be held on Thursday\, August 15 in Heritage Fun Park. \n  \nSlice of Summer includes Youth Activities that run from 2:00-5:00 pm and Family Activities that run from 5:00-8:00 pm. Rotary is paying for free youth swimming from 1-4 and 6-8 pm. Other youth activities will include a free bouncy house\, face painting\, and/or tattoos\, games\, etc. Family activities include free musical entertainment and reasonably priced food and drink. Food and drinks will be served by Rotary\, Interact\, and the Lions starting mid-afternoon for families through 8 pm. Live music begins at 5 pm and goes to 8 pm. \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church Sponsors Free Swim & Float
DESCRIPTION:SVLC and Thrivent Financial are sponsoring a free Swim & Float on Sunday\, August 11th from 1-3 p.m.  Youth are especially encouraged to use the pool and enjoy a free swim.  Additionally\, everyone is invited to enjoy a root beer float at the picnic area in the park!   For several years the Lutheran Church has sponsored this activity so that all the community can enjoy a refreshing activity.  Thrivent Financial provides a grant as seed money so (WELCA) Lutheran Women can sponsor some summer fun for the community. \n
