DESCRIPTION:Tickets are now on sale for Backyards of Broadwater!  The date is Saturday\, July 24th from 10:00-3:00.  Tickets are $5.00 per person with kids 12 and under FREE.  Tickets are on sale at the Extension Office\, Goosebay Glass\, Townsend Hardware and Townsend Farmer’s Market.  When you purchase your tickets\, you will receive a map\, garden descriptions and details for the tour.  Then you can simply enjoy the tour at your own pace! \nThis year’s tour features yards and gardens stretching from Townsend to Winston.  There are eight gardens\, highlighting the following people:  Ed & June Printy\, Patrick Plantenberg & Mary Mistek\, JB & Monica Howick\, Eric & Stacy Sommer\, Dennis Schenk & Carol Lorz\, David & April Toll\, David & Barbara Clark and Jeff & Marie Hoeffner.  There is something for everyone on the tour.  You will have the opportunity to see a variety of different gardening styles including raised beds\, container gardening and a greenhouse.  You’ll get to see historic buildings from barns to a mansion\, native species\, unique berries and a pollinator garden.  You get to catch a glimpse of a few creatures along the way including tortoises and a goldfish pond.  You’ll hear about the transformation and journey these yards went through over the years and trials and tribulations along the ways.  You’ll visit with gardeners who have a passion for working with the earth. \nHope to see you on the Backyards of Broadwater! \nMore information available at https://broadwater.msuextension.org/yardandgarden/BackyardsBroadwater.html
