DESCRIPTION:Leave non-perishable food by your mail box & your postal carrier will pick it up. \nEvery second Saturday in May\, letter carriers in more than 10\,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers\, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. \nLed by letter carriers represented by the National Association of Letter Carriers (AFL-CIO)\, with help from rural letter carriers\, other postal employees and other volunteers\, the drive has delivered more than one billion pounds of food the past 25 years. \nCarriers collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and in post offices and deliver them to local community food banks\, pantries and shelters. Nearly 1\,500 NALC branches in all 50 states\, the District of Columbia\, Puerto Rico\, Guam and the Virgin Islands are involved. \nThe United States Postal Service\, National Association of Letter Carriers\, National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association\, AFL-CIO\, United Way\, Valassis and Valpak Direct Marketing Systems are all supporting this year’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive. \nTo donate\, just place a box or can of non-perishable food next to your mailbox before your letter carrier delivers mail on the second Saturday in May. The carrier will do the rest. DESCRIPTION:GROUP FORMS COMMUNITY THEATER \nIf you have an interest in Community Theater\, please join a newly formed group of theater enthusiasts who would like to involve Broadwater County residents.  A startup meeting is planned for Wednesday\, Feb. 6 at 6pm at the Library Community Room in the school. \nWhether you prefer to be the star of the show\, or enjoy building props\, setting up lighting and sound or just sitting in the audience enjoying the show\, this meeting is one that will spark your interest. \nThe group interested in the startup was formed from a summer theater production\, “Nunsense”\, directed and acted by Broadwater High School students and others at the Betsy Back Room last July.    The production was held two nights along with an afternoon matinee\, and sold out to full houses. \nCoincidentally\, a theater venue has opened at The Lodge\, the former Masonic Hall on Spruce St.  The building is being renovated by Tina Homann who has expressed an interest in having a theater in the building.  The proposed theater room will seat 100 persons\, or would work well for dinner theater for about 80 persons\, according to Homann. \nA tour of the proposed theater venue at The Lodge will follow the meeting for those who are interested.
