The Broadwater Early Childhood Advocates (BECA) are pleased to announce the launch of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Broadwater County. The Imagination Library is a program facilitated by the Dolly Parton Foundation in partnership with a local organization. Every child who is enrolled in the program will receive free age appropriate book each month until the age of 5. It is open to any child under the age of 5 who resides in Broadwater County.
There are two ways to sign up. The first is through registration brochures. They are available at the Library, Courthouse, Hospital and several childcare providers. Completed brochures can be dropped off at the Courthouse or Hospital. The second way is online at https://imaginationlibrary.com/usa/affiliate/MTBROADWATER/.
The program is made possible several community organizations and grants. BECA is the primary program administrator and fundraiser and has worked directly with the Broadwater Social Services Committee who is the 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor. The Dolly Parton Foundation covers the administrative cost of the program while the local organization funds the cost of books, postage and mailing. Primary sponsors are the Broadwater Social Services Committee, Broadwater Community Foundation, United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area, Town Pump Charitable Foundation, Townsend Lions Club, Infinite Hope Counseling, Songbird Pediatric Speech Therapy and several private donations. Current fundraising efforts will allow the program to operate for a couple of years. However, more fundraising will need to be done to continue the program long term.
